Chocolate Butter Ball Cookies
My mom has made these decadent chocolate butter ball cookies for years! It’s actually an old William Sonoma recipe from the late 80s. These cookies have been a favorite of mine since I was a little kid. They are the perfect amount of chocolate and melt right into your mouth.
INGREDIENTS:
2 sticks unsalted butter - softened
2/3 cups firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 large egg - beaten slightly
2 cups flour
1/8 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
DIRECTIONS:
In a large bowl- cream the butter and beat in the brown sugar. Beat the mixture until it’s light and fluffy. Beat in the vanilla and egg after.
In another bowl- mix dry the dry ingredients. Stir the dry ingredients into the butter mixture. Add the chocolate chips and continue to mix
With damp hands, roll the mixture into 1” balls. Line the balls on a buttered baking sheet.
Bake the tray of balls at 350 degrees for 20 minutes
Transfer them to baking racks to cool
Serve and enjoy!
