Chocolate Pumpkin Loaf

Fall is my favorite season, so I am ready for all the cooking festivities to begin. I’m kicking off September with this chocolate pumpkin loaf. Let me tell you… this loaf is decadent! This baked good is basically cake & had the perfect amount of pumpkin. It is extremely moist, rich, and gooey 😮‍💨 Details below!

Ingredients:
1 cup of pumpkin purée
1 cup of flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 egg
4 tbsp room temperature butter
1 cup white sugar
1 cup chocolate chips
Pumpkin pie spice

Directions:
1. Beat together the egg, sugar, and butter until creamy.
2. Gradually mix in the flour, cocoa powder, pumpkin purée, vanilla, baking soda, & chocolate chips until it reaches a cake batter texture.
3. Add the batter to a loaf pan. Then, top with chocolates chips and sprinkle pumpkin pie spice over the top.
4. Bake in the oven at 350 for 55 minutes. Let the loaf cool for a few hours. Slice it up & serve!
