Honey Chile Sopressata Pizza
This honey chile sopressata is a must make! One of my favorite restaurants in LA is @elephante, so I decided to recreate one of their signature pizzas! The Calabrian chiles combined with the honey drizzle makes for a dangerous duo. We baked our pizza on a @bakingsteel, which makes the crust super crispy. Details below for the next pizza you need in your life ๐
INGREDIENTS
-pizza dough
-pizza sauce
-fresh mozzarella sliced
-sopressata slices (you can get this at your local butcher in the grocery store. @boarshead_official is the best)
-honey (@localhivehoney)
-calabrian chile oil (from @williamssonoma)
DIRECTIONS:
1. Roll out the pizza dough and add the pizza sauce.
2. Top with the sliced mozzarella and sopressata. Add dollops of the Chile oil over the top and drizzle with honey
3. Bake at 500 degrees on the @bakingsteel in the oven for 6 minutes. If you donโt have a baking steel, bake at 500 degrees for 7-8 minutes. Keep an eye on it!
Note: warm up your pan or baking steel before adding the pizza. Thatโs how it gets crispy
