No Bake Peanut Butter Chocolate Bars

Ok so I’m going to preface that these chocolate peanut butter bars are definitely a splurge!

Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way... Holy cannoli you guys have to make these! This is another twist on a family recipe. My grandma makes these in ball form but I wanted to try them in bar form!

INGREDIENTS:
1 lb peanut butter
1 stick of melted butter
3.5 cups of Rice Krispies cereal
1 bag chocolate chips
1 pound of powdered sugar (I’m sorry)

DIRECTIONS:
1. Mix the peanut butter and melted butter in a bowl. Gradually add in the powdered sugar. I use my @kitchenaidusa hand mixer to avoid any weird clumps.
2. Add in the rice crispy cereal to the mix. You’ll want to the consistently to be a little less dense than cookie dough. If it is still really sticky- keep adding in more powdered sugar
3. Line a 8x12 baking pan with parchment paper. Fill the pan with the peanut butter mix and spread until evenly distributed
4. Freeze the mix for 2-3 hours
5. In a sauce pan on low heat, melt the bag of chocolate. Add in butter to make the chocolate more liquid. You’ll want to stir the chocolate the whole time to ensure it doesn’t burn
5. Pour the chocolate over the peanut butter mix and evenly spread.
6. Freeze the mix over night.
7. RISE AND SHINE- time to cut the bars in half and enjoy

PSA: keep these bars in the fridge or freezer so they don’t melt!
